Obtaining Accommodations on TASC

Published

The TASC exam can be taken in either paper or computer format in English or Spanish languages. Alternative formats like Braille or large print are not considered special testing accommodations and do not require formal approval from the Data Recognition Corp (DRC).

For persons with disabilities seeking testing accommodations for the TASC exam, prior approval is required.

  • Complete the TASC Test Special Testing Accommodations Request Form and provide documentation to support the request for accommodations (e.g. IEP or 504 plan).
  • Requests may be granted on a case-by-case basis and should be submitted well in advance of the scheduled exam.
  • If approved, a letter will be issued to the testing site and test taker. Prior to the scheduled exam, verify with the testing center that they have received the accommodation approval and that they are able to provide resources.

Below is a list of some available accommodations, items that are allowed without prior approval, and the available alternative testing formats. For a full description of Special Testing Accommodations, please visit the TASC website here
